Henry & Dad's Excellent Adventure

Henry and dad explored the Mississippi River while mom was working this past weekend. First, they made a trip to the Stone Arch Bridge & Locks followed by a trip down river to the Ford Dam & Locks.

And mom is looking pretty pregnant these days... six weeks (+ or -) until baby boy McRitchie #2 arrives!

Adventures with Oma and Opa

Oma and Opa treated Henry to an adventure yesterday while mom and dad were at work. They rode the bus then transferred to the light rail train which they took to the Mall of America amusement park. Henry chose the "blue truck!" to sit in and was very proud to be "driving" it all by himself.

The West Coast is best coast

We had so much fun visiting with our favorite Seattle family (that includes our beautiful God daughter, Chloe, and Matt's doppelganger, Aashish) yesterday and today before they traveled on to their Minnesota family cabin.

We are so lucky that one of our wonderful friends from the University of Michigan has family in the Twin Cities and makes a summer trip to visit every year. Last year, Henry fell in love with her two girls; and as you can tell from the photos, the feelings are still there.

Hot times in St. Paul

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and babysit this past weekend while dad was out of town and mom had to work. They spent some very hot, hot days playing with Henry both inside our non-air conditioned home and outside. Henry decided that 90+ degree weather was when he really wanted to avoid the shade and get into learning to ride his tricycle around the block over and over, as well as run up and down the hill at St. Catherine's. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for enduring the heat chasing after Henry while we were enjoying the air conditioning at work.

Dogs!

Henry was very excited to go to my co-worker's house this past weekend and meet her wonderful dogs: Madeline, Bob, Jack and Ted. It was even more exciting for Henry that Maddy LOVED to be pet, would stay in one place and is very calm. I have a feeling that Henry will be asking for his own dog very soon.
