Our absolutely adorable new nephew, Oliver Anthony, was born on November 15th, 2009. We can hardly wait to spend the Christmas holiday with the little guy.

Germany trip
In October we made our last big trip before the baby arrives to visit Oma in Gromitz, Germany. We had a very relaxing week of eating delicious food, picking apples from Oma's garden, reading, going for walks, sleeping, and eating some more.
Jessica's baby shower weekend
In September we traveled to metro Detroit for a baby shower in honor of my sister, Jessica, who is due with her first child only 11 weeks before I am (basically any day now!!)

from the beginning
We met at Michigan State University in 1996, moved to metro-Detroit, attended graduate school at the Univeristy of Michigan, married in May of 2006, moved to the Twin Cities and bought our first home. After 3 years of marriage, we are beginning the parenthood adventure and are expecting our first child in January, 2010.
