Potty training weekend was unfortunately less of a success than we had hoped for. There were endless hours spent with Henry sitting on the toilet in the bathroom with us reading books to him or with him on the potty in front of the iPad, in addition to multiple accidents and outfit changes, and seemingly little forward progress. Henry seemed to enjoy the one-on-one attention and "game" of it all. The good news for us is that Henry is transitioning up to preschool over the next week. We are hoping that peer pressure with work to help convince Henry it is time that he gets rid of the diapers.
Lucas is now 6 months old and started on "solid foods" of rice cereal and sweet potatoes. He too seemed underwhelmed with the changes we are trying to implement.
Regardless of the frustration of the McRitchie parents internalized this past weekend, Henry and Lucas continue to be adorable and sweet with one another and very loving to their parents.
