Oma and Opa daycare

Henry skipped school for the past few days to play with Oma and Opa. They enjoyed one beautiful day playing outdoors, practicing walking and riding his bike and going to Minnehaha Park. They also enjoyed a trip to the Sea Life Aquarium on a rainy day, but discovered that Henry loved to play outside in the rain too. Their visit wore Henry out so much that he slept in 2 extra hours this morning (until 8am!), which we were all grateful for!

Children's Museum

We had a great afternoon with Henry's best friend from daycare, Finnley, and his parents at the Children's Museum. The boys loved the organized chaos surrounding them and we found it hilarious when Finnley managed to get sopping wet playing with the water toys and Henry almost tackled an older kid attempting to steal a toy truck from him.

15 months old

Henry is 15 months old! At his Dr.'s appointment today he weighed in at 24 lbs 11 oz (52nd percentile), although he feels a lot heavier than that, and is now 32 inches in length (76th percentile). Poor kid had to get 4 shots today. They are giving the 2nd MMR shot early to children in Minneapolis due to the recent outbreak of measles. He unfortunately continues to have fluid behind both of his ears, so PE tubes are likely in his future. We see the ENT physician and he has a hearing test again in 2 weeks, and the procedure will likely be later this month.

Henry can practically eat anything now that he has all 4 molars, and thankfully is not very picky about what we put down in front of him. He chewed on a raw carrot and cucumber earlier this week and didn't spit them out! He is not yet walking independently, but loves to crawl up the stairs and is obviously very pleased with himself when he reaches the top. He has also been spending a lot of time purposefully blinking both of his eyes and thinks it's hilarious when someone notices and blinks back.

Who, me?

We continue to have a cold and gloomy spring, and this weekend we have been stuck in the house much more than Henry would like us to be. He has been spending a lot of time exploring new areas of the house, cruising around furniture and practicing climbing the stairs. Today he discovered a new kitchen cabinet that contained "shakable" (and unfortunately open) boxes.
