Henry's 5th birthday!

Henry's birthday was very special this year because he had multiple celebrations that spread out over more than 1 week. He celebrated at home with mom, dad and Lucas, as well as with his friends and teachers at school. 

He celebrated with family and friends at the Leslie Science and Nature Center. (Ann Arbor received 14 inches of snow the day of his birthday party. Many guests were unable to make the party due to dangerous driving conditions; including Grandma and Grandpa). 

But, Henry had no problems extending the his 5th birthday celebration a little bit longer to include a party with Grandma and Grandpa.

Wednesday = doughnut day

Lucas has a special love for Wednesdays, because it is the day, every week, that mom and Lucas go on a date to get coffee and a doughnut. Mom gets a $2 latte, and Lucas gets a $1 doughnut; preferably with sprinkles. Because he does not yet really know the days of the week, he does attempt to make everyday a Wednesday by strongly suggesting his need for a doughnut after dropping Henry off at school.

I have a feeling that Henry wouldn't willingly go to school on Wednesdays if he knew about the doughnuts.
