February update - 13 months

Henry continues growing up and changing so quickly! He is now crawling on all fours all over the house and tries to get into everything. He will walk with assistance, but not independently. When seated, Henry will cross his legs at the ankles, which I think is very fancy. He continues to struggle with endless daycare colds and ear infections, and is now getting his first molar! Our swim classes have unfortunately not been as much of a hit as we thought that they would be. For the first few classes Henry cried almost the entire time. Thankfully, each weekly session has been less and less traumatic for Henry (and me). We are all going stir crazy indoors with this long winter and the 75 inches of snow we have received to date, and can't wait for spring!

More Michigan fun

Henry had so much fun with his cousin Oliver and Aunt Jessica at Oma & Opa's house this past weekend,

and Henry and Oliver already seem to be getting into mischief together.

We enjoyed some "warmer" winter weather and sunshine. Henry preferred to watch cousin Oliver and Aunt Jessica sled rather than experience it himself.

And we were all excited to spend time with cousin Ashley and aunt Debby!

1 year stats

Henry had his 1 year well child Dr.'s visit today and came home with 5 band aids between the 4 immunizations and labwork. He currently weighs in at 21 pounds 8 ounces (30% tile), which means he has lost some weight over the past month likely due to his perpetual winter cold and frequent vomiting due to congestion. He has his front 8 teeth and his current length/height is 31 inches (75% tile).

He continues to be a very happy and easygoing child. He is becoming more and more social, has become very adept at his 3 legged crawl and is moving all over and pulling up on furniture. His favorite object is a photograph of his aunt Jessica, cousin Oliver, cousin Mae and aunt Kathryn that he points to and smiles at incessantly. We continue to struggle with sleep at night, he is getting much better at expressing his "likes" and "dislikes" and currently seems to have very little interest in food. We are also starting to get some glimpses of his temper (and temper tantrums to come).
