Henry and friends

Henry gets a lot of extra attention these days. He had a special visit from our friends Rastko and Monica last weekend

He was taught about some of the finer things in life, like Miller Lite, by Mike this weekend

And he feels pretty stylish wearing his new "jinbei" today from our friends Masa, Aya and Anna in Tokoyo.

Jump, jump!

Henry will be 7 months old tomorrow and he has made some huge developmental advances in the past month. He has finally figured out that he can jump in the jump-a-roo and that it is fun! He can sit up unassisted, but is very wobbly and easily topples over. He is rolling from his back to stomach and stomach to back. He still dislikes spending time on his stomach, so we doubt that he will be crawling anytime soon. If placed on his stomach, he immediately rolls over. But that's okay with us, we don't feel quite ready for him be to mobile!

Bath time with Oma

Henry was thrilled to spend some time with Oma and Opa this past week while we were working. Their visit coincided with very hot 90+ degree and humid weather, which made for some uncomfortable days to be hanging out in our non-air conditioned home. Henry and Oma cooled off by enjoying time our "indoor pool."

Weekend in Colorado

We traveled to beautiful Colorado this past weekend for a friend's wedding (congrats Jeff & Aggie!) It was the first wedding Henry has attended, and he was very well behaved beyond slobbering all over the program.

We spent quality time with family and were spoiled by their generous hospitality. As you can see, Henry enjoyed meeting cousins Jim & Tara, Aunt Marian and Uncle Dave.

Play date

We had a fun evening with a Henry's friend T. (from our mom and baby group) and his parents this past weekend. T. is on the waiting list at Henry's daycare, so they could potentially be classmates and be in daycare together until kindergarten! We are hoping there is a spot open for him soon. Coincidentally, T.'s mom is also from Michigan and went to Hope College, in my hometown of Holland, Michigan, for undergrad! What a small world.
